Editorial & Medical Review Policy
How TRT Houston creates, sources, reviews and updates the health information on this site.
Medically reviewed by our clinical team · Last reviewed Oct 19, 2026 · How we create and review content
Our standards
- Evidence first. Medical claims are based on clinical practice guidelines, government health agencies (FDA, NIH, CDC), and peer-reviewed research. We link to those sources on each page.
- No fabricated content. We don't publish fake reviews or testimonials, invented statistics, or credentials we can't verify.
- No guaranteed outcomes. Results vary, and eligibility for any treatment is decided by a licensed clinician after evaluation.
- Plain language. We explain benefits, risks and alternatives in terms patients can use.

Regulatory information
Some information, such as federal telemedicine rules for controlled substances, changes over time. We note the date when it matters and update pages when rules change.
